Crates in RWBY: Amity Arena are the method through which units, Lien, Cookies, and Schnee Premium Dust are obtained.

Overview[]

Crates are obtained through various methods: winning battles, buying them in the Card Store, completing Daily Missions, playing the Battle of Beacon, playing during Academy Crate and Group League events, and gifts from the developers. Crates won through battle are opened using Keys; one Key is used per Crate, and Crates cannot be obtained from battle once the player runs out of Keys.

The odds of obtaining certain Crates at various Arena levels can be found here.
