The Evernight Project, often called Evernight for short, is a fan-made RWBY: Amity Arena ladder that serves as an alternative to the main game's Fame matches. It was launched on April 5, 2020, and is maintained by many of the game's top players.[1]

History[]
Season 1[]
Evernight Season 1 lasted from April 5 to May 30, 2020.
This season saw the launch of the official Evernight YouTube channel, where replays of Evernight matches would be uploaded.
The Evernight Season 1 Finale took place on June 6, 2020, with HumaneCobra, who won the tournament, becoming the overall winner of Evernight Season 1.
Season 2[]
Evernight Season 2 lasted from May 30 to July 25, 2020.
This season was the first to introduce weekly bans, which saw certain cards banned for one week at a time in an effort to shake up the meta.
This season also saw the introduction of stat boards, where players could see their current ELO, total matches played, win-loss records, streaks, and maximum ELO.
In the middle of the season, the Evernight staff split into two teams: Admin and Balance. The Admin team manage the Evernight Discord server and its programming, while the Balance team manage card bans.
The Evernight Season 2 Finale took place on August 1, 2020, with Shadowmitten, who won the tournament, becoming the overall winner of Evernight Season 2.
Season 3[]
Evernight Season 3 lasted from July 25 to September 19, 2020.
This season saw the retirement of the weekly ban system, as well as an area to practice that does not adhere to Evernight's bans.
Changes to the ELO system were made to allow players to climb easier.
The Evernight Season 3 Finale took place on September 26, 2020, with Shadowmitten, who won the tournament, becoming the overall winner of Evernight Season 3.
Season 4[]
Evernight Season 4 lasted from September 19 to November 14, 2020.
This season saw the introduction of "ban tiers," which ban certain cards depending on which tier they are placed in. Ban tiers were implemented because of the strain on the part of the Evernight staff in keeping track of the various card bans.
The Evernight Season 4 Finale took place on November 21, 2020, with Arrexu, who won the tournament, becoming the overall winner of Evernight Season 4.
Season 5[]
Evernight Season 5 began on November 14, 2020, and is expected to last until January 9, 2021.
With RWBY: Amity Arena shutting down on January 28, 2021, Season 5 will be the last season of Evernight. On January 28, the Evernight Discord server will be shut down alongside the game.
An Evernight Season 5 Finale will be held, although the date is currently unknown.
Champions[]
At the end of each season, the top 8 players compete in a tournament to determine the overall season winner. These tournaments are considered their own tournament series, the Evernight Tournament Series.
