Flightform Penny was a scrapped unit in RWBY: Amity Arena.
History[]
Flightform Penny was discovered in the game's code several months before her intended addition. However, she was eventually removed.
Flightform Penny was the original plan for a second version of Penny Polendina. She was designed after an alternate form of Penny that only appeared in the 2015 manga RWBY. However, when the developers submitted the idea to Rooster Teeth to get their approval, they were turned down, as Rooster Teeth decided to avoid using the manga as a reference.[1] Additionally, Rooster Teeth was planning for Penny to return in the main series in the Volume 7 premiere "The Greatest Kingdom".[2]
After Flightform Penny was rejected, she was reformatted into Atlesian Gunship, and Penny 2.0 was added in her place.[3]
