A melee unit that uses fog to hinder enemies.
Freezerburn is unique among Team RWBY's team attacks in that it is more tactical than offensive. Weiss' ice and Yang's fire meet to create a dense fog that even the most powerful of sensors cannot penetrate. However, the setup is the most dangerous of the team attacks as Weiss is a sitting duck while creating the ice floor and Yang is an easy target while crashing down with her burning fist.
To minimize risk, the two have to execute their roles in perfect sync and extreme speed which requires lots of practice. Seeing as how they pull off Freezerburn perfectly now, it looks like Weiss was successful in making the carefree Yang surrender to her will.

- Freezerburn's summon quote and skill usage quote are taken directly from the fourth episode of Volume 2, "Painting the Town...".
- This unit's name comes from a common ship name between Weiss Schnee and Yang Xiao Long.
- This unit's name also comes from Weiss and Yang's combination attack from the Volume 2 episode "Painting the Town...".
- Unlike most units whose card art was replaced with a poorly drawn version for April Fools' Day 2020, Freezerburn's artwork does not directly copy the normal icon. Instead, it copies the character model.
