The Maelstrom Tournament Series is a tournament series run by the "Storm academies": Snowstorm (which hosts the Blizzard Tournament Series), Firestorm (which hosts the Inferno Tournament Series), Windstorm (which hosts the Tornado Tournament Series), and Maelstrom (which hosts the Maelstrom Tournament Series).
It is also one of three "sponsored" tournament series, with the other two being the Majesty Tournament Series and the Mythos Tournament Series, and is the second-oldest of the three.
