The Majesty Tournament Series is a monthly tournament series run by the academy Majesty, now known as Library Academy. It is also one of three "sponsored" tournament series, with the other two being the Maelstrom Tournament Series and the Mythos Tournament Series, and is the oldest of the three.
History[]
Majesty Tournament #1 took place from January 19-20, 2019, with RainBuckets winning the tournament.
Majesty Tournament #2 took place on February 16, 2019, with Flashzie winning the tournament.
Majesty Tournament #3 took place on March 30, 2019, with Flashzie winning for the second time.
Majesty Tournament #4: Team Cup took place from April 27-28, 2019, with the team of Servo239 and Malfunction winning the tournament.
Majesty Tournament #5 took place on May 26, 2019, with Flashzie winning for the third time. This tournament saw the first card banning in the tournament series' history, with Blade Dash Adam being banned from this tournament.
Majesty Tournament #6: Removal Cup took place on June 29, 2019, with Shadow1800 winning. Blade Dash Adam remained banned for this tournament, while Partners in Crime was also banned.
Majesty Tournament #7 took place from July 27-28, 2019, with Servo239 winning for the second time. Blade Dash Adam and Partners in Crime remained banned for this tournament, while Raven Branwen was also banned.
Majesty Tournament #8: Randomizer Cup took place on August 31, 2019, with Servo239 winning for the third time. For the first time, Blade Dash Adam and Partners in Crime were unbanned, although Raven Branwen remained banned.
Majesty Tournament #9 took place on October 5, 2019, with Flashzie winning for the fourth time. Raven Branwen was unbanned, although Freezerburn, Hazel Rainart, and Checkmate were banned.
Majesty Tournament #10 took place from November 2-3, 2019, with RainBuckets winning for the second time. Freezerburn was unbanned, although Hazel Rainart and Checkmate remained banned.
Majesty Tournament #11: Pick Ban Cup took place from December 7-8, 2019, with RainBuckets winning for the third time. For the first time since Majesty Tournament #4: Team Cup, no cards were banned for this tournament.
Majesty Tournament #12 took place from January 4-5, 2020, with ClashRUBYale winning the tournament.
Majesty Tournament #13: Limited Cup took place on February 1, 2020, with RainBuckets winning for the fourth time. Neon Katt, Fox Alistair, and Jinn were banned for this tournament, marking the first time in the tournament series' history that a Rare and Epic card was banned.
In March 2020, a large number of Majesty members, including RainBuckets and Shadow1800, quit the game following the High Wattage Update and the lack of action taken against Neon Katt and Jinn, two cards which were perceived as being too overpowered since their respective additions. As a result, Majesty rebranded into Library Academy.
The first tournament following the rebranding, Library Trials Tournament #1, took place on May 16, 2020, with MysticLotus00 winning. Neon Katt and Jinn remained banned, Fox Alistair was unbanned, and White Fang Gunner Barracks, Baby Death Stalkers, and Old Man Shopkeep were banned, marking the most amount of card bans for a single tournament in the series' history. Elm Ederne was banned as well on May 15, 2020, due to her addition to the game two days prior not allowing time for playtesting.
As revealed following the 2020 Legends Invitational, there will be a second Library Trials tournament taking place at some point in January 2021.
