Upcoming Outfits[]

The following characters are confirmed to receive outfits sometime in the future.

  • Biker Yang had a School Uniform outfit with the inverted color scheme that was never added for "a good reason." The outfit will possibly be added in the future.[1]

Controversies[]

Biker Yang Pajamas[]

When Biker Yang's Pajamas outfit was added, it featured Yang wearing a black bow, which Yang never wore in the show. Some players took this as the game developers confirming that Bumbleby, the ship between Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long, was canon. While the official Amity Arena Facebook account later clarified that the outfit was designed and approved by Rooster Teeth themselves, the bow was later changed to be purple instead of black.[2]

Qrow and Winter Valentine's Outfits[]

On February 14, 2020, the official Amity Arena Twitter account revealed that Winter Schnee's Valentine's Outfits outfit was based on the original mint chocolate-inspired design of Crow Qrow's Valentine's Outfits outfit.[3][4] Some players took this as the game developers confirming that Snowbird, the ship between Qrow Branwen and Winter Schnee, was canon.[5] While the Amity Arena Twitter later clarified that it was simply for fun, neither outfit was changed.[6]

Trivia[]

Beacon Ball ad

The image which depicts Emerald's Beacon Ball outfit.

  • A promotional image exists that depicts Emerald with a Beacon Ball outfit, something Emerald does not currently possess in the game. This suggests that Emerald was meant to receive one at some point, but for whatever reason it was scrapped.
  • Ice Weiss' Ice Skating Queen outfit was leaked on Twitter on February 4, 2019, by Hajime Nakamura, also known as "mojojoj", a prominent fan artist who eventually became the concept artist for RWBY Chibi.[7]
  • Some characters' outfits feature different coloring than seen in the show. For example, the School Uniform outfits of Scythe Ruby and Ribbon Blake feature blue plaid skirts instead of the red plaid skirts seen in the show. This is done merely to differentiate between the different versions of Ruby and Blake, as the correct colors are seen on Sniper Ruby and Shadow Blake respectively.
    • However, Biker Yang's Pajamas outfit features an inverted color scheme. In the show, Yang wears an orange top and black shorts, while in the game Biker Yang has a black top and orange shorts as well as a purple bow which is not worn by Yang in the show. The reason for the inversion is unknown, although it seems to imply that Rocket Yang will get a Pajamas outfit with the correct color scheme in the future.
  • The official Amity Arena Twitter account mentioned on March 10, 2020, that Rooster Teeth is hesitant on the devs' idea for an outfit for Crow Qrow featuring a speedo, a reference to the RWBY Chibi episode "Evil Interview".[8]
  • Commonly requested outfits include:
