RWBY: Amity Arena was a real-time strategic duel mobile game developed by NHN Entertainment and published by Rooster Teeth Productions based on Rooster Teeth's anime-style web series RWBY. The game was announced by Rooster Teeth on April 25, 2018.[3]
It was released for Android devices worldwide (except for the United States, Canada, Japan, and China) on October 22, 2018, released for Android devices in North America on October 24, released for iOS devices worldwide on October 25,[1] and released in Japan on January 31, 2019.[2]
On December 27, 2020, it was announced that RWBY: Amity Arena would shut down on January 28, 2021.
Gameplay[]
The goal of RWBY: Amity Arena was to destroy your opponent's tower with your own personalized deck of 8 cards based around characters and creatures from the RWBY franchise. Each tower was protected by two turrets which attacked any opposing units that came within range.
Game Modes[]
The Fall of Beacon Update added a PvE mode called Battle of Beacon, which was a hack 'n' slash mode that involved the characters from RWBY (only featuring Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee) fighting off hordes of Grimm while protecting a tower.

- The game was inspired by the board game Remnant: The Game, which the four main characters are seen playing in the second episode of Volume 2, "Welcome to Beacon".[3]
- The game took place in-universe. Many card bios were written by an Atlesian scientist, and the game itself was developed in Atlas by the in-universe company Human Nextwork.[4]
