Units in RWBY: Amity Arena are the characters which players use to compete in battles against other players.
During a battle, players may place units from their hand into the battlefield if they have enough Aura to do so. Units will automatically move toward enemy units and structures, attacking them once they are in range; some units have Skills that either trigger automatically or can be activated by the player at will.
Units come in four rarities: Normal, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. These rarities affect the base statistics of each unit, the ease of obtaining new cards for the unit, and the cost of leveling up the unit. Most units that deploy multiple characters are Normal; exceptions include units that summon other units or Legendary combo units.
There are currently 122 units in RWBY: Amity Arena.

No units are currently obtainable from Menagerie. The official Amity Arena Twitter account stated on March 4, 2020, that no units will be added to Menagerie unless an Arena 11 is added, since Menagerie is the champion's arena.[1]
Upcoming Units[]
The following units are confirmed to be added to RWBY: Amity Arena at some point in the future. The developers have stated that they plan to include every character from the show in the game;[2] however, the members of Team NDGO are off-limits due to being based on a real-life cosplay team.[3] Currently, the most-requested character is Ozpin.[4]

- Every major antagonist, with the exception of Tyrian Callows, has a Legendary card version. These cards are Flame Cinder, Hazel Rainart, Arthur Watts, Partners in Crime (which consists of both Neo and Torchwick), Blade Dash Adam and Moonslice Adam, and even the major Grimm enemies Nuckelavee and Wyvern.
- This also includes James Ironwood, Raven Branwen, and Sienna Khan, to a lesser extent.
- Adam Taurus is the only character to have two Legendary cards.
- Every member of Team RWBY is featured in a combo unit as both the main unit as well as the assisting unit. These units are Freezerburn, Ice Flower, Checkmate, and Bumblebee.
- Every card version of the Ace Operatives is in the Epic rarity.
