The Vytal Tournament Series is a seasonal tournament series held by the Amity Alliance. It is a crossover of the Maelstrom, Majesty, and Mythos tournament series.
History[]
The Spring 2020 Vytal Tournament took place on March 28, 2020,[1] with PlasmaX, representing the Mythos Tournament Series, winning the tournament. Neon Katt and Jinn were banned.
The Summer 2020 Vytal Tournament took place on June 20, 2020, with RainBuckets, representing the Majesty Tournament Series, winning the tournament. However, unlike the previous tournament, this tournament was a crossover between the top eight academies in the game (Storm, Library Academy, Mythos, Desolate, Carpe Diem, PLTM, Fallen Angel, and Ragnarok). Neon Katt and Jinn remained banned, while Wyvern, White Fang Gunner Barracks, Old Man Shopkeep, Atlesian Arachna Mine, and Yatsuhashi were banned as well.
The Autumn 2020 Vytal Tournament took place on September 19, 2020, with Arrexu winning the tournament for the Mythos Tournament Series' Team ARSN. Instead of one-on-one fights, the players were matched into a team of four (based on their home academy: Library Academy, Storm Academies, Mythos Alliance, or Carpe Diem) in a round-robin style tournament where players would be eliminated one-by-one until the team with the last remaining player won. Jinn, Neon Katt, Wyvern, White Fang Gunner Barracks, Old Man Shopkeep, and Yatsuhashi (and later Atlesian Arachna Mine) remained banned, while Baby Death Stalkers and newcomers Fiona Thyme and Moonslice Adam were banned as well.
