Winter knows that to Weiss, she was more than just a sister. Paving the way for herself, Winter had focused on her own independence and goals, but turned around one day to find her little sister standing there, looking up at her, eyes shining.
Winter tried to help Weiss who was trapped and burdened by the responsibility that she had shirked. Knowing that Weiss was so much softer than she ever was, Winter hoped that nothing would befall Weiss for following in her footsteps. So, when Weiss completed their father's trial, Winter felt a wave of relief.
Then she found out Weiss was going to Beacon in Vale. Now THAT... was a surprise.
